About

With over 20 years experience in broadcasting — producing both live and packaged television — Ron Ralston has covered many of the most important events of the past two decades. He was also nominated for a National Emmy Award for his work on Nightly News with Tom Brokaw.

Ron now lends his unique expertise to a variety of media productions including: television, new media, live events and corporate projects.

Visual storytelling, with a unique eye for detail, is his passion.

Originally from Chicago, he has lived all over the country — working in both LA and New York — and has traveled the world.  He now calls Utah home.

As a former producer for Fox News Channel and NBC News, he covered — live from the field — many of the the most important events of the last two decades, including: the 2016 presidential race, the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing, Hurricane Sandy, increased violence along the US/Mexico border, the 2006 war between Hezbollah and Israel, the aftermath of the attacks on the World Trade Center and many more.

As a coordinating producer, he has lead major field coverage on several stories, successfully managing a team of anchors, correspondents, producers, crews and truck engineers. Some of these stories include: Hurricane Katrina, coverage of Ground Zero following the death of Osama Bin Laden and Michael Jackson’s memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

In addition to his work at Fox and NBC he worked as a field producer for former Vice President Al Gore during his historic 2000 presidential bid. In that capacity he traveled the country producing Mr. Gore's live satellite media tour interviews from the candidate's campaign stops across the U.S.

Ron has also trained public relations experts, CEO's and top military leaders in media relations and how to conduct on-camera interviews.

Aside from his professional work, Ron is an award-winning still photographer. His work has been featured on Fox News digital platforms.

His extensive experience in production, video editing, writing, technical operations and field producing has given him the skills and knowledge necessary to be a leader as the media business evolves with new forms of distribution, technology, formats, transmission and streaming.
